It's a common fear, essentially linked to the experiences of the early adopters. The good news is that this innovation is now much more advanced, widespread and mature than it was even 5 years ago. Today, we're seeing ROIs of less than 2 years, or even 1 year on most of our projects.

Sensors are now more numerous and far less expensive, and basic networks are far more flexible, enabling us to build customized, scalable networks that will meet your urgent needs today, and accommodate your future requirements (because you'll see, we're getting a taste for smart, factual data).

Another piece of good news is that there are subsidies to facilitate energy savings, for example, which reduce or even cancel out the initial investment.

Price will no longer be an obstacle to your digitalization.

It's probably the result of 2 things:

Either they are not compatible with your building management system, because they don't speak the right language. There are several data protocols, and depending on the sensor, they don't all speak the same language. This makes them difficult to operate. Fortunately, we're multi-protocol in data input and output, so as good polyglots, this won't be a problem. 

Or the network is not well connected, or complicated: the data doesn't all arrive in the same place, and is difficult to aggregate. Without this connection, optimization becomes complex, if not impossible. That's why we take the time to create the network with existing sensors and those to be added, so that they all contribute to the symphony of optimization. 

And as an extreme case, some sensors are installed but simply not connected to an interface at all. So they're effectively useless, as long as they're not connected to the network. 

You'll see that, once properly connected, all the sensors are useful.

Once again, it's a question of network: you can stay local, export the data to a cloud, transit it via 5G or WiFi...

Once again, technological developments are here to help: if the connection goes down, the data is stored in a buffer memory for transmission as soon as the flow resumes.
